So, I like the “new” Fiesta, but damn to me the sedan version is kind of like an eyesore, it looks so..weird? so I decided to tackle on that by myself with a quickie.

So what do you say? better or worse

It looks much better, but I wonder about how useless the trunk would be.

A four door Fiesta is a thing somewhere?

It's better selling than the 5 door in America, I think.

Well, im not sure actually, but if you measure starting from the rear passenger seat to the rear end it looks almost as the same length as the rear passenger area. or at least it looks like that.

I know what it is. It’s that little rear wheel and wheel well making the the proportions between the top of the wheel well and that space between the belt line below the rear window look like too much real estate.

Frumpy is the word that comes to mind.

Definitely not in Europe, we don’t buy cars like that.

Totally that! plus that xtreeeeeme rear overhang, its as if they just added a rear end to the hatchback and called it a day.

Odd. Do you like four door Focuses and the Jetta too?

Yep, having all those hatchback versions I see why. Focus sedan? I dont hate it but neither do I love it. Jetta sedan? totally like it, to me it looks right, I thinkl it has the right proportions. Sort of how like 90’s civic coupe and hatchback both looked good.

Maybe if the rear wheels were a little further back and the car’s stance was a little less raked it would balance out some.

I sigh every time I see a Fiesta sedan. It is downright hideous, and for what? Less practicality? Learn to love hatchbacks, America.

I guess the Jetta must be an American taste then. I remember hearing that in for example the UK the Golf outsold the Jetta by hundreds to one although that’s a very hatchback friendly market. In Ireland where hatchbacks are less popular the Golf only beat the Jetta by about six to one.

I think the same too, it must be an american taste, the jetta sold in the us is different from the european one, I think its even cheaper overall as a car. Here you dont see almost any golfs as it was never officially introduced in this market. (venezuela)

im sure they’re not the only who have done that, but being year 2015 I think they should’ve found a better solution.

My biggest problem with the Fiesta (which your mods don’t address) is the height of the sides of the body. This is most apparent in the vertical distance between the top of the rear wheel well and the base of the greenhouse (so, the beltline). There’s just too much distance there.

Yes! Spot on, I thought of it but then, it was a quickie hehe, recently I got to drive a early 90’s car and fell amused by all that greenhouse space! so much glass and visibility all around, it felt fresh.
